About us

SPEEDYBOI Club began in 2019 and during the early stages of COVID-19 and lockdowns in Victoria, the idea of forming an official car club was founded off the basis of connecting individuals as a means of supporting one another during the difficulties and hardships of COVID-19. It is known that COVID-19 has had a major impact on our lives and mental well-being, and as a motoring enthusiast, we recognise that many people view their passion for their vehicles as an emotional outlet, or a means of freedom; the on-going nature of COVID-19 restrictions brought upon limitations for these individuals in particular the inability to handle their vehicles on the road. These difficulties brought about a desire/need to support each other; and this was the beginning for SPEEYDBOI Club.

As a collective group of friends and motoring enthusiasts, we seek to bring together passionate individuals who want to support each other in our individual journeys of preservation and appreciation of classic Japanese vehicles.

SPEEDYBOI Club is a non-for-profit vehicle club (not an incorporated association), run exclusively for genuine enthusiasts and aims to promote awareness and appreciation for Japanese vehicles (all makes inclusive) manufactured between the years of 1980 to 1996. Our focus is towards preservation and appreciation of what is largely known as Golden Era Japanese cars.

We are a club that recognises that passion and interest towards vehicles extend beyond what is tradition/layman and can differ between individuals, and therefore as a committee we have decided our core value is ‘respect’. Members affiliated with the club are expected to uphold respect; to respect oneself, respect fellow members and respect the general public and its road rules.
